Spurs miss out on Nani

It only took Manchester United to step up their interest in the young Portuguese winger. The fact that Cristiano Ronaldo inspires Nani to come to the Premiership was already a big hint of where the left winger would end up if an agreement was made.

I think Tottenham fans should be very optimistic and be thankful to the board for at least making the effort to sign top players like Nani and the will to battle it out with top clubs. I'm sure Martin Jol has plenty of alternatives and hopefully a top left winger will join our squad this season.

What are your thoughts on missing out on Nani, does the fact that we beat Manchester United to the signing of Gareth Bale overshadow this disappointment.
