Royston Drenthe linked with Spurs

A skillful left-back who prefers playing as a left wing and can even go up front while being able to use both feet. Perfect you would say huh? Well guess what? he is being linked with Spurs by 'fansfc'. I know we have splashed out on Bale but surely you want this guy on your team regardless what you have already in place.
His valuation however could go up, if he continues to impress in the U21 Euro Championship, Sky named him Man of the Match for the Holland - Israel game.
This years transfer summer has been amazing for any Spurs fan, we have been linked with so many players it is just unbelievable. Jol is really starting to use his Dutch connection and it is about time too.
Royston Drenthe is only 20 years old and currently plays for Feyenoord, a club Martin Jol has already done business with, the controversial Egyptian Hossam Ghaly was playing for the Rotterdam club when Spurs signed him.
Let's hope this rumour turns out to be true.

I really don't think Drenthe will leave Feyenoord the next 2 years. And if I was in charge I would give him a deal till 2020. My favourite Feyenoordplayer by far.

I know it would be not an ambitious approach by Feyenoord football club if they were to sell their youngsters.

He recently signed a contract till 2011. He is though in a talent pool, a way to attract investors to Feyenoord. So he might be sold eventually, but with little luck the investors come anyway and Royston remains his whole career at us.
